He may not Be a Movie Star, But When it Comes to Bein' happy, We are

My Guy,
Oliver went ahead and turned three years old on me. It actually happened a month ago, but we decided not to tell him until our lives slowed down enough to show the proper amount of pomp and circumstance.
So what is a day in the life of a three year old Ollie like?
It starts with a cuddle and usually a grouchy disposition followed by an exchange of dialogue:
Jodi: Hey Ollie, did you sleep good?
Ollie: (in a growley tone) yes!
Jodi: What did you dream about?
Ollie: A Dump truck (this answer stays consistent from morning to morning)
Jodi: Wow, cool dream
Ollie: Mom, stop talking to me---I need my oats!

Now, you might gather from this exchange that Ollie may not be the funnest child to raise, but, truth be told, his furrowed brows usually make the rest of us smirk. He really is adorably unhappy.

However, with all of that, no one enjoys and absorbs more from life than Oliver. He is outside the minute he can see the bottom of the oats bowl, and usually that's where he remains until he's pulled back in for meals and the occasional bathroom break. He rides his bike one million miles an hour (approx.) and takes every corner like it's his last. He never stops moving unless it's to lay in the dirt cuddled up with his best friend "Spots on the Bottom." ( the dog)

Everything that comes out of his mouth is over dramatised. He never asks for a glass of milk; he always "needs" milk--and he needs it with every characteristic of a crazed drug addict. When he's happy he literally dances from task to task skipping his way through life, but as previously mentioned, his disposition is not always sunny.

Ollie looks for trouble and usually has no issue finding it--and yet with his tough exterior, he's really quite a tender little guy. He is afraid of almost everything-(the exceptions being large bugs/animals, and unsafe speeds.) He's even terrified of the fun loving book "Goin' on a Bear Hunt."
All in all, he is the great and terrible child of the Cope home, and we love him very much. Happy Birthday Oliver!
